SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to launch direct flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk beginning on December 14, 2026, creating a new air link between the United Arab Emirates and northern Poland. The airline will operate five weekly services between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. Flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This new route offers travelers in Poland’s Pomeranian region a direct flight option to Sharjah.

Air Arabia sets five weekly Sharjah Gdansk flights
Sharjah-Gdansk service adds northern Poland to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. Conversely, flight G9 0629 leaves Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following day. The services on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will see departures from Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with returns from Gdansk at 1:05 p.m., arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.

Gdansk will become the fourth Polish destination served by Air Arabia from Sharjah after the airline’s December expansion plans are implemented. Currently, the airline operates flights to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its main base in the UAE. Additionally, flights to Katowice will commence on December 17, 2026, just three days after the Gdansk route begins. The Katowice flights will run four times weekly, adding another Polish city to the airline’s expanding route network.

Gdansk enhances direct connectivity with northern Poland

The introduction of the Gdansk route broadens Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah, including a Baltic coast destination. The airline already serves several major European hubs such as Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport caters to the wider Tri-City metropolitan area, comprising Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other regions of northern Poland. The airport provides both domestic and international connections, supporting leisure and business travelers across the area.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive of Air Arabia, stated that Gdansk would strengthen the airline’s footprint in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer hub for onward flights to destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. These new flights will thus connect passengers from Gdansk to Air Arabia’s wider network via its hub in Sharjah.

Scheduled launch for five flights per week set for December

Air Arabia utilizes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its route network and has opened bookings for the Gdansk route. The airline’s schedule shows flight G9 0628 departing from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 returning from Gdansk. Services on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will be operated by flight G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All scheduled times are local, and the route will operate nonstop both ways.

The December 14 launch will expand Air Arabia’s direct Polish network just before the airline begins its Katowice service. With existing flights to Krakow and Warsaw, the two December additions will bring the total number of Polish destinations served by the airline from Sharjah to four. Gdansk will feature five weekly flights, while Katowice will have four, according to the announced schedules. Air Arabia maintains that the Gdansk service and five-flight weekly timetable are confirmed for December 2026.
