This figure marks a 20.8% increase compared to the 1,733,199 arrivals recorded in July 2025. Additionally, the latest monthly total is 44.6% higher than the pre-pandemic level of July 2019. The Korea Tourism Organization announced these monthly tourism statistics on August 25.

Japan contributed approximately 330,000 visitors in July, while Taiwan brought in about 261,000. The United States sent roughly 150,000 travelers, and Hong Kong accounted for about 76,000. All five major markets exceeded their visitor numbers from July 2019, with China increasing by 49.6% from that year. Japan experienced a 20.2% rise, and Taiwan saw a 129.4% increase.

United States accounted for roughly 960,000 visitors in the first seven months of 2026, with Hong Kong adding about 420,000 during that period. These latest figures highlight how South Korea’s foreign visitor numbers continue to stay well above pre-pandemic levels. In July, arrivals exceeded both the 2024 and 2025 monthly totals by double-digit percentages, and cumulative foreign visitor totals remained significantly higher than those of 2019.
